This is a practical website policy draft for Ninth Theory MXF Viewer. It should be reviewed before public launch, especially before accepting client uploads, payments, analytics, or production Google/Dropbox access.

1. Use of the app

Ninth Theory MXF Viewer is provided as a media workflow tool for uploading, importing, previewing, transcoding, downloading, and sharing MXF video files.

2. Your responsibility for media

  • You must only upload or import files that you own, control, or have permission to process.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that your files do not infringe copyright, privacy, confidentiality, or contractual rights.
  • You are responsible for keeping original camera files backed up before processing previews.

3. Preview generation

The app creates preview files for browser playback. These previews are not intended to replace your original camera masters or professional archive files. You should always keep separate backups of original MXF media.

4. Cloud providers

Google Drive import is intended to read and import files selected by the user. Dropbox support is planned as a future provider. Each cloud provider may have its own terms, API rules, limits, and availability.

5. Review links

Password protected review links are provided for convenience. You are responsible for choosing strong passwords and only sharing review links with intended viewers.

6. No guarantee

The app is provided as a tool in active development. Transcoding speed, preview quality, codec support, cloud import behaviour, and browser playback can vary depending on file type, machine performance, browser support, and FFmpeg availability.

7. Prohibited use

  • Do not use the app to process unlawful, harmful, abusive, or infringing content.
  • Do not attempt to access files, tokens, review links, or jobs that do not belong to you.
  • Do not overload, attack, reverse engineer, or interfere with the app or its infrastructure.

8. Changes

Ninth Theory may update these terms as the app develops, especially when account login, payments, hosted storage, Dropbox import, analytics, or team features are added.
